Why should I read the Bible?

God has given us many reasons to read the Bible every day. Here are just a few…

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. Deuteronomy 6:6 NASB

Your word I have treasured in my heart,
         That I may not sin against You.
Psalm 119:11 NASB

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'” Matthew 4:4 NIV

O how I love Your law!
         It is my meditation all the day.
Psalm 119:97 NASB

How sweet are your words to my taste,
       sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalm 119:103 NASB

Your words were found and I ate them,
         And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart;
         For I have been called by Your name,
         O LORD God of hosts.
Jeremiah 15:16 NASB

Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. 1 Peter 2:2 NASB

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16 NASB
